Moths in Ayrshire Literature

I'm trying to find out any literature references for moths in Ayrshire. With Marco's help we've found a few bits and pieces, but nothing substantial. Also I'm investigating if there are any historic natural history societies that may have literature. I know about the Ayrshire Archaelogical Society, but no success with useful references.

Or could it be that there has been very limited entomological work in Ayrshire!
